Pink Peppercorn Honey

Pink peppercorn honey is one of the most anticipated harvests at Ruchers de l'Est. Every April, our bees forage the flowers of the false pepper tree — the tree that Mauritians call poivre noir or poivre sauvage, known elsewhere as pink peppercorn or Bourbon pepper. A honey with a truly unique personality: spiced and floral on the nose, sweet and gently peppery on the palate, with fruity notes on the finish. Amber in colour, liquid and clear — and it does not crystallise.
